چکیده

Jasminum sambac (L.) Aiton, a plant used in this study to exploit its virucidal as well cytoxic potential against Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) by using cell culture technique. FMD virus considered causal agent of the disease which influences domesticated livestock became cause intense sickness. Analysis was done with help extract that collected from stem leaf plant. Extract taken different solvents such n-hexane, chloroform aqueous extract. Results analysis revealed n-hexane did not have any ability Food cells Baby Hamster Kidney (BHK-21) non-toxic at concentration range 3.9 μg/mL-250 μg/mL while alcohol showed antiviral 1000 μg/mL-2000 range. Meanwhile, toxic 2000 BHK-21 125 250 μg/mL. Aqueous Cell Survival Percentage (CSP) fifty two percent (52%) their ability, both extracts confirmed toxicity Aiton is due oleuropein, chemical constituent, constituent flowers inhibits efficiently excretion Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) human hepatic (HepG2).

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a contagious viral disease of livestock with significant economic effect. It is prevalent in various regions of Asia, Africa, and South America. The causative agent of this disease is called foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV), which is a member of Aphthovirus genus. Vaccination is an effective technique to prevent the complications of FMD and to eradicate the di...
متن کاملFoot-and-mouth disease virus.
Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) is an aphthovirus of the family Picornaviridae and the etiological agent of the economically most important animal disease. As a typical picornavirus, FMD virions are nonenveloped particles of icosahedral symmetry and its genome is a single stranded RNA of about 8500 nucleotides and of positive polarity. FMDV RNA is infectious and it replicates via a compleme...
